I Can't Boy and Nowhere Man

I Can’t Boy asked Nowhere Man
“Can you please give me a hand?”
“I can’t get through my own front door,
And I’m just stuck here on my floor”

But Nowhere Man is lost inside
A dream he never dared and tried
One that causes great regret
A dream that he cannot forget

I Can’t Boy’s eyes filled with tears
While Nowhere Man dwells on his fears
And so decisions went untaken
And ambitions thus became forsaken

So I Can’t Boy he never went
To fly a kite or pitch a tent
He sat there pining on that floor
He never ventured out the door

And Nowhere Man longs for the past
Where he could follow dreams he’s cast
Moments that would bring great joy
But Nowhere Man was I Can’t Boy
